Ok so this map is set in a futuristic power plant on Earth. But the powerplant is deserted and falling apart because of some unknown incident (tomcat suggested that a worker spilled coffee on one of the computer XD). So the power plant was purchased by some entrepreneur dude and convert into a deathmatch arena. I hope you like it. I've spent the last 2 months of my life working on it so yeah. Its my first map and hopefully my next one wont take so long to make as this one did.

Ok so the map is now nearing completion. there are just a few things that need finished up and weapons and such still need added.Tons of stuff fixed. less laggy now. anyone who got the old version shoudl get this updated version. this time i calced and then saved so they lighting is fixed. and just so everyone knows i will make the CFg and package this soon when i get a chance... sorry for the inconvenience

mmmh, yeah - like AronNWA suspected - I can not walk past this without mentioning : the quadropolis packaging guide ... but packing just an OGZ is a bit futile really (already ZIP compressed itself),
the only benefits would be the correct path-structure (and conformity) and the mentioned possibility of including a README ... but since you did ask ... read the guideline, then you should know :-)

yeah, youre fine.(sorta) I can tell you right now that meatrome is probably gonna tear you apart for not compressing it, and stuff. Other than that, its a 4/5. It would be 5 but you never gave me credit. XD jk i didn't do anything really except texture in a couple of odds and ends, and caomplain up a storm about not being able to play. =P But it really is 4 star material.
EDIT: I noticed that someone spammed a crapload of healthboosts, at the sewers. be sure to get that taken care of. =O
thanks for the info... ill take care of those health boosts soon... hmmm oh i forgot to meantion that you need to /loadsky socksky/frozendusk.... does anyone know how i can make that load itself on opening the map? also i tried taking a screen shot and putting it up i just suppose it was too large. in other news i really have no clue how to compress stuff and make zips and stuff XD ive only been playing for a couple months XD and sorry 4 forgetting u a-ron!
I highly recommend the packaging guide found on the front page-it'll walk you through how to make your zip and such. For making the skybox, you need a cfg, which is usually easiest accomplished by copying a similar cfg and pruning out everything you don't need (I always just copy from maps I made previously, but you've got to start somewhere, I suppose). To make your screenie hit F12 to have Sauer create a bmp screenshot, and then open that image with your image editor of choice and crop it to 256x256 pixels. Then save it as gen1.jpg. Please note the lowercase letters- everything should be lowercase (even the G in Gen1.ogz, please correct that when zipping your files).
Onto the reviewing process- to be honest, it's a mixed bag. Your particles, in all frankness are made of the win. Two thumbs up for great particles. However, some of the skybox texturing is really weird (shouldn't there be a wall there was a frequent question as I explored the map), and a lot of the clipping is counterintuitive or unnecessary. Whenever possible when making a map, have there be a somewhat visible reason that an area is clipped- nothing pulls me out of the zone faster than being suddenly stopped by an invisible wall. Similarly, don't have floors that kinda trick you- it discourages the player from moving around, which is a lot of what Sauer is all about.
But in general a very good map, especially the fire effect.
And i will make a package-zip thingy for it with the whole CFG file stuff on it when i upload the final realease. and as far as i know on the map everything is original. the one thing thats kinda sketchy right now is the one open roofed room. FREAK added that and told me it was his but someone meantioned that they thought its was Snoweys.... but im looking into that... also how do u think i could be able to bring everything together so its more like its all one building that was made all at the same time? (textures?Lighting????) idk... like i said, its my first map so yeah... ill keep adding more to it

I think the snow I was talking to was an imposter.
He was acting like he didn't know what I was talking about.
Ya know ya just get this weird feelin when theres a person acting sketchy.
I asked this guy if it was ok if I could include it in the map.
He said yeah and said something about how great the map is and how it should be noticed.
I haven't talked to the real snow yet cuz I haven't been able to catch him yet.
But Biggs, I understand the concern over this.
You think we should remove it from the map and stick some big block in it's place or leave it?

Um... First of all I didn't make Techonophobia, Snowy18 and NIEB did. I'm not 100% sure on this but I seriously doubt you helped make it Freak, second of all I'm not sure on this either but is it ok to use this? As far as I know last time I saw this map you guys were saying that the entire section with the map in it was yours. Then I saw it again and some people thought that just changing a few things around in the section (Like the stairs in the middle) and then calling it yours was ok. It's not.

I did a bunch of polishing.
I had worked with snowy before on a capture map (that we never finished ^^) and we were a good team so I knew he wouldn't mind if I stuck that map in there.

hey biggles,if your having trouble making a .cfg or packageing it and making a screenshot i could help you. you see, one of my nodes got removed due to a horrible packaging job so i vowed not to play sauerbraten till i could correctly package a map(broke that vow within 2 hours xD)but i did get good at packaging maps.
